In an effort to exercise my freedom and exorcise my demons, I am walking approximately 760 miles from my home in Gardnerville NV to Seattle WA.

Days 34 and 35
I've made it past the halfway point! Thanks to the folks at http://www.pactour.com/ for feeding me and making it a memorable experience! People in Oregon have been really awesome!
I went to the pactour.com site and clicked their banner ads to show my appreciation. They likely get paid a few cents every time someone does that.
Go jump in the hot springs when you get to Blue Pool. You'll feel much better for it. Unless it's too hot of course, in which case all your skin and flesh will probably fall off. Best dip a toe in first.
Nicely done on the first half Jimmers, looking forward to updates from the second half.
Dude, thanks for the navigation! Didn't get around to the hot springs, but there is a hot tub here at this motel in Oakridge. I think I'm gonna soak in it for a bit as soon as I can get all this damn internetting done.
Hi Jim. Mom here. We're so proud of you and what you are doing. Keep up the good work! Love hearing from you when you call every night. You know, that could have been big foot you heard in the forest last night! On the way home today I passed by the church. A doe and twin fawns scampered out to cross the street. I stopped and put on my flashers. Some idiot coming the other way didn't even slow down! But, all are safe & sound.
Sweet! Been showing the Gf all your pics.

ReplyDeleteThanks Mom! Yeah, I'm in Bigfoot country, alright! Luckily, they don't like humans very much, especially ones with cameras, so they always run away.
DeleteGlad you are meeting awesome people on your journey! Congrats on the halfway point. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Dana!!!
