Days 35 thru 37, Crescent to Oakridge

I feel like I'm just flying right through Oregon!

Leaving the Crescent Creek RV Park

Welcome to Crescent, OR

I don't normally dress up my dogs this much, but when I do, I eat the fucking shit out of it!

Odell Lake with Diamond Peak

Sunset at Odell Lake

Camp Jimbo, Princess Creek Camp, Odell Lake, Deschutes National Forest, Oregon

My day started here

Diamond Peak from the forest. I love how big the sky looks in this. My camera lens was a bit foggy from the previous night's rain

Salt Creek parallels Highway 58 almost all the way down to Oakridge

The middle of my day

Near the end of my day. I dropped 3000 feet in elevation. The first ten miles was a 6% grade. My legs were absolutely thrashed.

Camp Jimbo, Blue Pool Camp, Willamette National Forest

Meet Damon. Read my journal entries below to find out about him. Nice guy. And check out his totally fucking radical shirt!

Only 328 miles to go!

  1. Jim, that was possibly the most awesome blog post ever in the history of the universe. I have had too much beer though, so I should probably re-assess the situation in the morning.

I hope you're uploading your raw files somewhere cos I need to steal a few of those lake pics. Very nicely done.

  11. Hey Jim! This was another great post, just like the rest. The pictures of Damon are great. He seems like a decent guy walking the lonely highway. It is crazy thinking about all the people we meet in our travels. It amazes me when they reappear in our lives in the strangest ways. You're a traveler, my friend. We are getting hobo tattoos when you get back! I am excited to hear what you got planned at the end of this journey!

    All the best,
    Eric
